Chinese National October Holiday is one of the best times not to be in China, and coincidentally one of the better times to be in North Korea, with less tourists and great weather!
During your tour with us, you’ll visit the Mausoleum where both President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il lay in state, ride the deep Pyongyang metro as we ride not two but six stations of line 1! Visit the Korean War Museum, explore Kim Il Sung Square, and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the Juche Tower. No trip to the DPRK is complete without visiting Panmunjom (the DMZ) and meeting our Korean People’s Army officer for a tour of the demilitarized zone.
Extend your adventure with us on our Group B option as you’ll take a local domestic train to the small rural town of Dongrim, a place that sees very few foreign tourists. Here you’ll embark on a gentle hike to the waterfalls (we recommend swimming under the waterfall!) and staying overnight in a new and very comfortable hotel. You’ll then head to Sinuiju, the largest border town city of North Korea to China, to explore Sinuiju’s grand central square, visit a local kindergarten, inspect a cosmetics factory, and more.
The Mass Games, the world’s largest performance with over 100,000 performers is expected to take place during this tour! Now is your chance to watch this grand spectacular performance.
