Join YPT on the M/V Hondius for a unique trip to Eastern Greenland and take in all the sea, ice, wildlife and hopefully the Northern Lights! This year we will visit Eastern Greenland aboard the very comfortable MV Hondius, one of the best polar ships of its category. It exceeds the requirements of the Polar Code of the International Maritime Organization, which means this ship is one of those who leave the least impact on the fragile areas we’ll be visiting on what is truly one of the last frontiers of this planet.
On this trip, we will first meet up in the capital city of Reykjavik before we head out to board our ship in the northern city of Akureyri and set off on our cruise. Along the cruise we will land on islands surrounding the Røde Fjord and do multiple zodiac expeditions. Amongst others, we will visit the ruins of an Inuit settlement on Danmark Island. This tour comes with ecological lectures and a free photo workshop on board our vessel. Along our cruise we can expect to see humongous icebergs and, provided we are lucky, polar bears, narwhals and also whales!
On this trip we will be enjoying lectures from professional ecologists on board this trip. There will also be the chance to go kayaking for an additional $420 which is a unique highlight and not to be missed out so best for you to book early.
We are offering the lowest prices for this cruise on the market since we managed to secure a great deal. Book soon to guarantee your spot on the ship! We will be offering beds on quadruple porthole basis as they are the best option for budget travelers yet brand new and very comfortable. However, if you’d like a twin room or even a single room, get in touch with us for a quote!
*The Superior, Junior Suite, and Grand Suite are priced per person for a couple fully occupying it.
