Join YPT in August 2026 for a incredible Eastern Greenland cruise and take in all the sea, ice and wildlife! This year we will visit Eastern Greenland aboard the comfortable Plancius, one of the best polar ships of its category.
On this trip, we board our ship in the northern Icelandic city of Akureyri and set off on our Greenland cruise. During the journey, we will land on islands surrounding the Røde Fjord and do multiple zodiac expeditions. Amongst others, we will visit the ruins of an Inuit settlement on Danmark Island.
Along our cruise we can expect to see humongous icebergs and, provided we are lucky, polar bears, narwhals and also whales! We will also have the rare opportunity to do long hikes, up to 12-kilometers long. Shorter hikes are also possible, as well as no hikes if you prefer to relax and simply enjoy the landscape.
Throughout the trip, we’ll be accompanied by expert naturalists and guides who will enhance our understanding of the region’s geology, flora, fauna, and history.
We are offering the lowest prices for this Greenland cruise on the market since we managed to secure a great deal. Book soon to guarantee your spot on the ship! We will be offering beds on quadruple porthole basis as they are the best option for budget travelers yet brand new and very comfortable. However, if you’d like a twin room or even a single room, get in touch with us for a quote!
On a trip like this, we cannot guarantee the itinerary – it will depend on the weather, the condition of the ice and wildlife spotting opportunities. The final say is with the captain of the ship and the professional team onboard.
Note: the price is per person. The price for a complete twin cabin occupied by one person is 1.7x the shared rate.
