Saudi Arabia is a land of surprises, especially when seen through the eyes of its women. Often misunderstood by the outside world, the country is undergoing rapid transformation. Today, Saudi Arabia boasts the second highest number of female entrepreneurs globally, with women owning a remarkable 49.7% of its hotels and restaurants. There’s never been a better time to visit and witness the pivotal role women play in shaping modern Saudi society.
This unique tour is designed and led entirely by women, with a female YPT guide and various local female guides, offering an experience you won’t find in mixed groups. Journey alongside other women to connect deeply with Saudi women and their stories, while exploring the country’s most iconic sites including the Edge of the World, Jubbah, AlUla, Medina, and Jeddah. Over eight action-packed days, discover a side of Saudi Arabia few get to see.
Your adventure with us begins in Riyadh – the capital, where you’ll visit Al Masmak Fortress, Deera Square, and enjoy a lesson at a female-only horse riding centre which holds deep cultural, historical, and religious significance. Explore the UNESCO-listed Diriyah, meet talented female pottery artists, and dine under the stars at the breathtaking Edge of the World.
We’ll then head to Hail – one of the friendliest cities in Saudi Arabia. You’ll explore the extraordinary UNESCO site of Jubbah and visit female-owned abaya shops, where you’ll learn to wear an abaya and hijab the traditional Saudi way.
In AlUla, uncover the region’s spectacular archaeological wonders, from Hegra to Elephant Rock, and wander through its ancient old town and lush oasis. We’ll also visit a local citrus farm to experience life in this desert paradise.
We then journey to Medina, Islam’s second holiest city, now open to tourists. Here, admire the grandeur of the Prophet’s Mosque and mingle with pilgrims from across the globe. Finally, take the high-speed train to Jeddah, Saudi’s most laid-back city on the shores of the Red Sea. Stroll through the historic Al Balad district before unwinding at a women-only beach club – soaking up the sun, sipping mocktails, and relaxing by the turquoise waters.
