Tuesday 3th November – Malabo

• Arrive at your convenience into Malabo – the capital city of Equatorial Guinea which is well connected with flights from Paris, Addis Ababa, and Douala.
• Airport transfer to your accommodation located downtown.
• Pre-tour meeting will be held at the lobby of our hotel (will be disclosed before the tour commencement date) at 5:00pm to discuss the tour itinerary and to meet your fellow travellers and YPT guide.
• Go for drinks at the boat-shaped casino El Barco, there’s free drinks for anyone brave enough to have a go, or you can sample a bit of local ambiance while remaining at the bar! 
• Dinner and overnight stay in Malabo.

Wednesday 4th November – Malabo – Baney – Rebola – Bilelipa – Riaba – Moka – Malabo

Morning

• Breakfast at hotel and head out for a a guided tour of Old Malabo – as one of the only former Spanish colonies in Africa the mix of classical Spanish architecture and modern buildings built since independence make Malabo quite the unique city.
• Continue on a city tour of Malabo visiting landmarks such as Independence Square, Malabo Cathedral, and the Presidential Palace.

Afternoon

• Lunch at a local restaurant, we recommend the fried plantain and chicken!
• Drive to Baney – a coastal town known for its historical connection to Spanish colony.
• Continue onwards to Bilelipa to visit the stunning waterfalls with a 1h walk.
• Hit up Riaba, a picturesque town surrounded by lush greenery.
• Arrive at Moka to visit Biodiversity protection centre.
• Return to Malabo for dinner and drinks – we’ll hit up another bar to explore local nightlife.
• Overnight in Malabo

Thursday 5th November – Malabo – Luba – Batete – Ureka – Basile Peak – Malabo

Morning

• Depart from Malabo after breakfast.
• On the way we’ll cross the Puente Cope bridge, which rises out of the jungle terrain, with a chance of photo opportunities
• Drive to Luba on the west of the island – the first point at which the Spanish landed and Bioko’s second largest city. 
• Drop by the charming village of Batete famous for it’s remaining wooden religious buildings as well as its cocoa production, which we can see in its various stages.
• We visit local villages and hear about the biodiversity protection program, as well as the local Bubi culture.
• Proceed to Ureka to explore its mesmerizing waterfalls and pristine landscapes.

Afternoon

• Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature.
• Drive to the very top of Basile Peak for a stunning view of the island – Pico Basilé is the tallest mountain in all of Equatorial Guinea and of the three overlapping basaltic shield volcanoes which form the island (3,011m high, or 9,878ft). Make sure to bring a rain jacket, umbrella as the weather up the top can be quite moody.
• See Church of Mother Bisila – constructed 2800 meters above sea level.
• Return to Malabo in the evening and overnight stay in Malabo for a farewell feast and drinks.

Friday 6th November – Malabo 

• Breakfast at hotel and tour concludes. Transfers to airport according to your flight out for this day only.
• Group members joining our Cameroon & Central African Republic Adventure are advised to book the Afrijet flight J7282 departing Malabo at 10:20am and arriving in Douala at 10:40am.
• Arrival in Douala, the biggest city in Cameroon, located next to the Atlantic Ocean.
• Overnight stay in Douala

Saturday 7th November – Yaoundé (Only for group members joining our Cameroon & CAR tour)

• In the morning, we’ll be leaving Douala for Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon.
• Transfer to our hotel to relax and freshen up.
• A pre-tour meeting will be held at 6:00pm in the lobby of our hotel to discuss the tour itinerary and to meet your fellow travellers for the Cameroon trip.
