Here’s a suggested 6-day itinerary for exploring Kyrgyzstan:

Day 1: Bishkek 

Morning:

  • Start your day with a visit to Ala-Too Square in Bishkek
  • Explore Osh Bazaar, one of the largest and most vibrant markets in Central Asia.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try traditional Kyrgyz cuisine such as lagman (noodle soup), manty (dumplings), or plov (rice pilaf).

Afternoon:

  • Visit the State Historical Museum 
  • Walking tour around the city centre 
  • Have dinner at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious food and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Bishkek’s nightlife.

Day 2: Issyk-Kul Lake Excursion

Morning:

  • Depart from Bishkek early in the morning and drive to Lake Issyk-Kul
  • Stop along the way to visit Burana Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage 
  • Explore the ancient ruins of a minaret. 
  • Continue your journey to Lake Issyk-Kul 

Afternoon:

  • Take in the stunning views of the turquoise waters and snow-capped mountains surrounding the lake.
  • Leisure time by the lake
  •  Swim, go kayaking or paddleboarding!
  • Dinner at a lakeside restaurant, where you can sample fresh fish caught from the lake and other local delicacies.
  • Spend the night in a cozy guesthouse or hotel near Lake Issyk-Kul.

Day 3: Cholpon-Ata and Ruh Ordo Cultural Complex

Morning:

  • Explore the town of Cholpon-Ata
  • Visit the Open-Air Museum of Petroglyphs 
  • Take a stroll along the promenade. 
  • Visit the Ruh Ordo Cultural Complex

Afternoon:

  • Explore the complex’s beautifully landscaped gardens, art installations, and cultural exhibits, showcasing the diversity of Kyrgyz culture and heritage.
  • Overnight in Cholpon-Ata

Day 4: Cholpon-Ata – Karakol

Morning:

  • After breakfast, drive to Karakol – the fourth largest city in Kyrgyzstan crossing some of the most scenic roads of the country. Along the way, take some photo stops, and refreshments as required

Afternoon:

  • On arrival, we’ll grab some lunch and then visit the Dungan Mosque, and a Cathedral Church dating to pre-Islamic times with Buddhist elements.
  • Continue onwards to Jety Ogyz Gorge, which is also known as the gorge of “Seven Red Bulls” and “Broken Heart”. This enormous and stunning gorge will leave you mesmerized.
  • We’ll then arrive in Karakol to enjoy local music, traditional dishes and alhoholic beverages!
  • Night at the hotel in Karakol.

Day 5: Karakol

Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel and board our massive 6WD Soviet truck to visit the magnificent Altyn Arashan gorge – located 3030 metres high up! Once arriving at the top here you can enjoy a hot spring bath.

Afternoon:

  • After a picnic lunch surrounded by pristine environments, we will venture back down to the city of Karakol.
  • We’ll visit Victory Park which is an alley full of monuments dedicated to the USSR heroes. Here you can also see sculptures of the Kyrgyz peoples struggle to flee persecution from the Russians and learn about how they did not join the army of the Soviets until 1924.
  • Stop by a popular city restaurant to taste Uighur food and get acquainted with their culture and traditions.
  • To celebrate our day, we’ll head to a local bar to enjoy fine food and beverages.
  • Overnight in Karakol.

Day 6: Karakol – Bishkek

Morning:

  • After breakfast, enjoy the scenic trip back past Issy Kul towards Bishkek

Afternoon:

  • Tour concludes
