Your journey on our Venezuela Angel Falls & Bolivarian Revolution Tour kicks off in the beating heart of the country – Caracas. Once dubbed one of the world’s most dangerous cities, today Caracas is a fascinating, ever-changing capital where past and present collide. You’ll dive headfirst into the city’s chaotic charm – riding the metro, exploring eclectic barrios, sipping local rum with the locals, and visiting the Mausoleum of Comandante Hugo Chávez in the iconic socialist stronghold of 23 de Enero.
Your tour with us isn’t a tour that shies away from politics – so you’ll walk the streets painted with murals of Che and Chávez, explore the neighbourhoods that shaped the Bolivarian Revolution, and hear from locals about the challenges and changes Venezuela has faced under Maduro.
No trip to Venezuela is complete without experiencing its most iconic natural wonder – the jaw-dropping Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall on Earth. You’ll fly with us into the depths of Canaima National Park, a lost world of misty tepuis, ancient forests, and winding rivers. Here, you’ll sleep in hammocks, canoe through remote waterways, and hike through the jungle to swim beneath the very waters falling from the top of Mount Auyán-Tepui.
Along the way, we’ll visit isolated Indigenous villages, trek to waterfalls like Sapo Falls and Hacha Falls, and soak up the peace of Venezuela’s untouched wilderness – a stark contrast to the chaotic beauty of its capital. From there, we’ll continue to Mérida, capital of the Andes, where you can ride the highest cable car in the world, right next to Pico Bolívar, the highest peak in the country and fit with a statue of the liberator himself. We make sure to include some hot springs to rest and recover along the way.
But the fun doesn´t end yet and YPT has managed to combine some difficult to reach countries in this region in one trip. Fly with us to Trinidad and Tobago to visit the dual-island Caribbean nation and experience a vibrant combination of nature, beaches and culture. Some local rum and good vibes included. Check out Port of Spain to explore the colonial-era architecture and to feel the pulse of modern Trinidad.
Directly join our Guyanas October Tour and round the trip off perfectly – Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana, the least visited region of South America.
