Fresh off our Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal tour, we invite you to join us for our very first group research trip to the little-visited region of Sikkim – formally known as the Kingdom of Sikkim nestled high in the Indian Himalayas.
We’ll dive deep into the highlights of Sikkim. Wandering through the peaceful halls of Rumtek Monastery, soaking in the atmosphere along the lively MG Marg, gazing out over the alpine waters of Tsongmo Lake, and uncovering the history of Enchey Monastery perched above Gangtok.
From there, the tour can either conclude, or for those looking to extend the adventure, you’ll have the unique opportunity to board the legendary Darjeeling Himalayan “Toy Train”, winding your way into the hills for a fresh cup of tea and a visit to the timeless villages of Darjeeling.
Since this is YPT’s first-ever tour to Sikkim, we’re running it as a research trip. What does that mean for you? For starters, it comes at a heavily discounted price, a one-time offer before future departures go mainstream. But it also means a touch more unpredictability: this is uncharted territory for us, so there may be detours, surprises, and the occasional hiccup. That’s all part of the adventure and exactly why we love doing it.
This exclusive trip will be led by YPT founder and seasoned explorer Gareth Johnson, and is strictly capped at 6 participants with priority access for returning Pioneers.
