CONIFA WORLD CUP 2020 GROUP STAGE DRAW

As we continue our coverage of the CONIFA World Cup 2020 in Skopje, the group stage draw for the finals were made this week and it’s thrown up some absolute corkers!

It’s difficult to argue against Group D being the so called ‘Group Of Death’, pitting reigning CONIFA European Champions South Ossetia against strong opposition in the form of North American outfit Cascadia and United Koreans in Japan in what promises to be an enthralling round of matches!

Group A sees two of the top ten ranked countries in the world collide as Kurdistan, who come into the competition to replace Western Sahara, face up to 2016 World Cup runners up Panjab. Hoping to cause an upset in the group will be The Chagos Islands who are making their second appearance in the finals while the Parishes of Jersey will be hoping to make an impact as they debut in the finals.
