Step out of your comfort zone and join us on our exclusive group tour through Chad’s captivating landscapes and culture. With more than 200 different ethnic groups, it is one of the most diverse countries in the world, making it an immensely interesting place to visit.
Your tour starts in N’Djamena, the country’s capital, and its fully-packed itinerary will take you through the desert to sublime oasis and unexpectedly lush areas around the Lake Chad. You’ll venture to Ngueli for a serene riverside escape, climb to the famous Elephant Rock, meet nomadic Arabs in Koundoul and explore the territory of the legendary Sao, said to have inhabited Chad over 2000 years ago. You’ll also see ancient Sarh culture relics and traditional architecture from the past and the present times.
Chad has long been considered one of the least politically stable countries in the world and despite having some of the largest oil reserves known, most of its population live in poverty. During this trip, you will thus make many rich encounters with people living in a way that is radically different from what you are probably used to at home. This is an incredible learning opportunity and an experience you’ll never forget.
This tour can be combined with our Niger Guerewol Festival Tour for the discounted price of €5295.
There’s a first for everything, and this trip is our first group tour to Chad. Whilst this will be a true pioneer experience, it also means not everything might go as planned according to the itinerary. Please keep this in mind when booking and on your journey with us.
