For us at YPT, Burkina Faso has to be one of our favourite countries to visit in Africa. Home of Thomas Sankara, pan-African revolutionary, home of stunning scenery and striking incredible culture, not to mention home to a whole lot of wonderful people!
Those joining us from our Mali tour will return to Bamako via Segou. For those of us heading to Burkina Faso, we’ll be boarding a flight with Air Burkina to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso where we’ll meet our friendly guide and driver, then kick off a road-trip to Koudougou, a vibrant Burkinabe city with museums, workshops and a bustling marketplace.
We then head to the capital city, Ouagadougou, where we’ll explore the surrounding beautiful natural scenery, spending some time in one of the most artistically stunning villages in Africa and finally see out the tour with a magnificent farewell party in the marquis and open-air bars beloved by local Burkinabe.
This Burkina Faso tour can be combined with our Mali tour, Algeria tour and Mauritania Iron Ore Train tour. Make the most out of your visit to Africa and combine all tours!
