Our local partners in Damascus have confirmed that we can now take bookings for Americans to travel to Syria on our group or private tours with a high chance that visas will be issued for travel. The visa process is exactly the same for Americans as it is for other nationalities, but potential American tourists should not consider that their visa will be granted automatically. Every facet of the visa process is taken care of by YPT.
📍Visiting the town and site of Palmyra. Whilst it’s spectacular how much of the ancient ruins are still intact, the town itself is almost completely abandoned, and it will really hit home how eerily recent the war really is.
📍Experiencing the cosmopolitan life in Damascus. Something you might not be expecting is how vibrant and alive the centre of the capital is.
📍Visiting the citadel in Aleppo. Not only is the citadel itself an incredibly well preserved castle which was used for its original purpose during the recent war, but you can also explore the destroyed bazaar and buildings around it.

It’s back! 🙌 Our Horn of Africa Independence tour returns where you join not only 1 country’s Independence Day, but 2! Djibouti, Somaliland, Eritrea and Somalia! 🇩🇯🇪🇷🇸🇴
📍We begin in the former French colony of Somalia, now known as Djibouti. Whilst it is very small, Djibouti has some of the most outlandish scenery in the world.
📍Moving to another part of greater Somalia, we now move to what was a British protectorate and now the self-declared republic of Somaliland. This de-facto state declared independence from the rest of Somalia in 1991; however, no international organization has recognized its sovereignty.
📍Next we move onto Eritrea, better known as the North Korea of Africa. This fascinating country falls well below most travellers radars which makes it a unique off the beaten track experience. Eritrea boasts pristine coastline and untouched Red Sea islands as well as some of the best-kept colonial architecture in Africa. 🚨New tour announcement - Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal! 🇧🇩🇧🇹🇳🇵
On our Unexplored South Asia tour you’ll meet us in the land of rivers – Dhaka, Bangladesh. It’s been completely off the radar when it comes to tourism. You’ll board an overnight ferry to the village of Barishal where you’ll experience the largest floating market of Bangladesh, and a fascinating timber market operating on the banks of the many tiny rivers and canals that make up the mystical southern region.
We’ll then board a Druk Air flight to Bhutan and make our way to the capital city – Thimphu to take in all of its monasteries and sights. We’ll make our way up to Punakha to visit the Temple of Fertility, built by the Divine Madman as well as other masterpieces of Buddhist architecture. It wouldn’t be a tour of Bhutan without visiting its most impressive building, the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, built on the flank of a mountain near Paro.
We’ll then fly across to Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal which was recently greatly damaged by a huge earthquake, its palaces, temples and markets are still amongst the most iconic in Asia. Nepal is also the country which most recently scrapped its monarchy and became a republic. We’ll adventure out to Pokhara to capture Phewa Lake with its pristine character and mirror-like appearance.

This time, YPT takes you… nowhere! That’s right — we've pushed the boundaries by arranging the first group tour to Bir Tawil, a piece of land stuck between Sudan 🇸🇩 and Egypt 🇪🇬 which isn’t claimed by any of them ⛔. It is the world’s only inhabitable land that isn’t claimed by anyone, and we will go there. Call us crazy but this will actually be second tour to visit this unique spot on Earth. In fact our last trip was so eventful we even wrote a book about it.
Bir Tawil has been claimed by many internet-based micronations, but very few of them have actually been there and no one has ever stayed to establish a presence. There, we will be beyond the laws of any nation.
To get there, we will start from Sudan so this trip can also be done as an extension of our Sudan trip.
📍Visit the ruins of temples of palace in Meroe, just as grandiose as the ones in Egypt but without any tourist!
📍Set foot where extremely few people have – the world’s only unclaimed land: Bir Tawil
📍Extreme off-road drive through the desert -- at least you'll have good company!
