Where should YPT go in 2026? Every December, YPT throws out the gauntlet to ask our brave Pioneers where we should go in the following year, so that is exactly what we are doing now.
As per last year, we will be splitting into three categories: country, region and type of tour. When the results come in, we then work towards making that tour happen.
And we really do listen, with favorites like Antarctica coming from the poll and us adding West Africa , Sikkim , and Western Sahara and a heap of others based on the 2025 results.
So, without further foreplay! What were the results from 2025/2026?
Which new countries should YPT go in 2026?
OK, so we started of with countries, or at least what YPT consider to be one, and the top finishers were very interesting!
5. Greenland
One we technically already do by cruise, but one we are now exploring doing as a standalone.
4. Madagascar
Another one that hits the high numbers every year, and indeed one that we are very much working on.
3. Comoros
OK, so this one threw us for a loop a bit, but one we are now taking a look at. Interestingly the con kept of a Indian Ocean Least Visited is also very popular, of which Comoros would be included.
2. Trans-Siberian Railway
OK, we know this is not a country, but it is obviously something people are still very interested in. Again something we are working on, potentially as part of reboot of the old Eurasian Adventure Tour.
1. Andaman Islands
Again fairly unexpected, but perfect timing with us now deep into expanding our offerings to the Indian Subcontinent. These have included Sikkim, Nepal and of course Bhutan, but with the Andaman Islands being so popular, you can expect this for 2027.
Probably not Sentinel just yet though…

Which Regions should YPT go in 2026?
So slightly bigger than countries, at least in theory. The last few years saw the masses request the Russian and Indian subcontinent’s, both of which have duly been delivered.
5. Antarctic Territories
While we already go here on various cruises, we want and we feel you want other ways to visit at least some. Rest assured this one is in the pipeline.
4. Indian Ocean Least Visited
This would be a variation of our Pacific Islands Least Visited Countries tour and well quite simply cover the countries in the Indian Ocean. Expect this by 2028.
3. Caribbean Least Visited
As above pretty much and one that is always very very popular. One we have been working on for a few years now and are hopeful to launch in 2027.
2. Siberia
OK, so this one threw us for a loop a little bit, but again fits in with the genre of the Trans-Siberian (link) and Russia in general. Currently we are exploring a few things out in the Russian far-east.
1. Central Africa
Well it feels a little bit like we are doing a scaleable for Africa, with the central parts of the continent being the untouched parts. Expect some movement here in 2026 and 2027.

What should we have more of?
Perhaps our most interesting section of last year was “What should we have more of”? This was to see what kind of tours you wanted and was won by multi-country tours, again something we have since delivered.
Here’s how you responded!
3. Railway Tours
One which we already love and have very much listened to you on. Currently there are railways tours in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Soviet Europe, with us looking at more in Africa, India, Asia and of course the Trans-Siberian Railway.
2. Political Interest Tours
Another genre that very much defines YPT, and with North Korea and indeed China was part of our very earliest of tours. There’s a few new options we are looking at, as well as having an intention to study what else is out there.
1. Dark Tourism
This is another genre that YPT are not just experts at, but are trying to expand greatly into. Currently Cambodia and Ukraine stand out as obvious ones we offer, with us now all getting down and dirty to look for more places. After all this was the one you voted for.

So, there marks the results from 2025 that we will incorporate into 2026, 2027 and beyond. As always this is very much a work in progress. It is also a work in progress that we have to keep to ourselves. One of the worst things about being the trend setters that we are is that people love to copy us.
And if you read that last statement and got annoyed, yes we are probably talking about you. No jokes! Until next year……
