Yough Pioneer Tours

On the road again

Having only just got my passport back, stylishly sporting a fancy new one year multiple entry visa, and this being holiday season in China, I am on a 14 hour marathon bus journey to Beijing and then onto the DPRK, RoK, Malaysia, Singapore, back to Beijing and then hopefully Tibet, although alas the very last part seems to be very unlikely as Tibet is closed indefinitely to tourists.

As I have said previously this is not a political blog, and I live in China, so I will keep the rant brief. Whilst I understand where China is coming from regarding Western media, what I truly do not get is what they expect to get from taking away people’s jobs. My many Tibetan friends who are guides have basically not worked this year. They are not happy, so note to the Tibetan armchair activists out there, ordinary Tibetans are not pro boycott.

Anyway enough on that, let’s talk about bus travel in China!
